The North Wales Pilgrim’s Way
Jane Mary on Pilgrimage
Towards the end of May, 2025, I begin the Welsh Camino, The North Wales Pilgrim’s Way.
It is a route of around 140 miles, beginning near Holywell, North East Wales and ends near the tip of the Llyn Peninsula, on Bardsey Island, North West Wales.
It became clear to me, a few years ago, that this was a place I needed to visit. I don’t know why, I don’t have any expectations or clear knowing why I need to do this, only that it is important for me to do. To find out more about this you can read on my blog
The pilgrimage will take me to churches along the route on the way to Bardsey Island. This, however, is not why I am taking this pilgrimage. What I am feeling, is the Celtic, Welsh land, the sacred wells, burial mounds, stone circles, lakes, mountains and the sea.
I am on this Pilgrimage in curiosity, to find what lies beneath, the structures and stories of the land and within myself.
Listen to me talk about the Pilgrimage on my Youtube Channel
It is clear that some of this Pilgrimage I will be spending days and nights alone. But, it has also become apparent, that others are also to walk with me -people who know me, friends, people who have worked with me in any way, either in any of my circles, workshops, events, healing or through Ruth Cato’s Initiation work, any of my dear sisters or brothers that are feeling a call to join, you are welcome. Be in touch to find out more, if you feel like this is you
I am truly grateful to those who have supported me in this so far, with messages, ideas, suggestions and general cheerleading, thank you so much!
