Clearing, Protection and Journeying with Sacred Mugwort

A circle for both women and men, with a grounded, heart opening ritual for clearing the year and surrendering in the dark.

This is an afternoon of connecting and journeying with Mugwort, a plant medicine of our lands, that we may find growing beneath our feet, on our doorsteps, road sides and hedgerows.

We will gather in sacred space, entering into a ritual of energy clearing with the burning of herbs, in this restful circle, held through drum journeying with mugwort; the heart opening dream herb, which will share her magic on this afternoon in the depth of winter and dream space.

We will be offering the opportunity of connecting with mugwort, ingesting mugwort tea and the use of smoke in ceremony for clearing and protection, within and around our energy fields. There will also be the opportunity of the inhalation of the smoke from mugwort; though this is not a necessary requirement, but as an invitational offering, if this calls to you.

Things to bring:

Journal and pen,

Water,

Blanket and pillow

Mugwort from your own land if this calls and you would prefer, although we will have plenty.

Offering for the land

Sacred item to be placed on altar, which will return home with you.

And anything else that helps you to feel comfortable.
